National Youth Day

National Youth Day is marked annually on the second Sunday of November, since 1996, a day on which a symbolic message of recognition of the youth movement in the Republic of Moldova is sent. The youth, over the years, have contributed to the development of the state and the evolution of our society, making available all their available capabilities, potential and resources. The involvement of young people and youth structures is the essence and engine of changes and progress of a society.

National Youth Award is an annual competition, organized in the context of marking the National Youth Day in the Republic of Moldova. The National Youth Award is given for outstanding contribution to the development of the youth sector, for the implementation of projects and programs with a particular impact on young people, as well as outstanding individual results of young people. 

In 2023, the prizes had a total value of about 400,000 lei and were awarded within National Youth Awards Gala on 20 December 2023

I. THE NATIONAL AWARD FOR THE YOUTH SECTOR

  1. The youth specialist of the year within the local public administration authorities of the first level (AAPL of the first level): MDL 25,000.00
  2. The youth specialist of the year within the second-level local public administration authorities (level II AAPL): MDL 25,000.00
  3. Youth worker of the year: 25,000.00 MDL
  4. Youth center of the year: MDL 30,000.00
  5. Local youth council of the year: 20,000.00 MDL
  6. Student school council of the year: 20,000.00 MDL
  7. Student self-government of the year: 20,000.00 MDL

 II. NATIONAL AWARD FOR YOUTH PROJECTS AND INITIATIVES

  1. Social innovation: MDL 30,000.00
  2. Promotion of national heritage and culture: 30,000.00 MDL
  3. Promotion of the fundamental rights of young people: 30,000.00 MDL
  4. Solidarity: 30,000.00 MDL
